Hilton Gold Status Offer and Merry Christmas!

Hilton Hotels is giving out a “Christmas present” of sorts right now.

Right now Hilton has a promotion to earn HHonors Gold Status FOR FREE!!, which usually requires 16 stays, 36 nights, or 60,000 base rewards points.  The status updates instantly after signing up.

The only catch is that you must “have” a Visa Infinite Card and provide the first six digits of your card.

HOWEVER, if you do not have one of these cards, you can search the internet for the starting digits, known as a bank routing number, for specific cards.  While it appears there are a number of “Infinite” cards, I have found that 411945 will do the trick.  Tip of the hat to One Mile At a Time for this tidbit.

Typical benefits of HHonors Gold Membership may include:

• 25% HHonors base points bonus for each stay
• Complimentary high-speed internet access
• Welcome amenities at certain Hilton properties
• Space-available room upgrades and breakfast
• Executive lounge access

Additionally, there is another bonus attached to this protymotion–4 Hilton Hotel stays between January 1 and May 31 earns 40,000 HHonors points.  This deal is certainly not quite as lucrative as the Radisson 50,000 Gold Points promotion, given that more than one stay is required.  Yet I would still consider this a fairly good deal.

To put this in perspective, a typical Hilton hotel room in New York City that usually goes for $250/night can be booked for around 50,000 Hilton HHonors points.  So, at the very least you would be on your way to a decent award stay, especially if you take advantage of any hotel stays you have or will have planned.
