Point Me to the Miles

Navigating the Path to Great Travel

Upcoming Dates for Learning About the “Path to Great Travel”

Freddie Awards – Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel
April 26, 2012

The Freddie Awards is the awards ceremony honoring the best frequent traveler programs.  As space is limited, this appears to be somewhat of an exclusive deal.  That said I will make an attempt to be there so I can report on the news.

It is important to vote, because as Mommy Points mentions, the desire to win raises the bar for the Loyalty Programs as they do care about winning with fantastic promotions.

Regisration: Begins March 1

This is an event I attended last year and thoroughly enjoyed.  It is a great opportunity for learning about all things travel, including great ways to earn and burn mile and points.

I was delighted to not learn from various bloggers like Gary of View from the Wing, Brian of The Points Guy, and Ben of One Mile at a Time, but also getting to interact with other points junkies and even had the pleasure of having dinner with both Rick the Frugal Travel Guy and Mommy Points. Also, it was neat to hear from one of the best pilots in the business, Cpt. Danny Flanagan, who really has a heart to serve those who fly with him.

The speaker list and schedule is still up in the air, but here are the confirmed topics and speakers, to date:

Rookie Bootcamp, Dave Homyak
Frequent Flyer Miles 101, Dave Phillips (Pudding Guy)
US Airways Grand Slam, Mommy Points
Mileage Runs, Ben Schlappig (One Mile at a Time)
ITA Matrix Software, Cara Kretz
Expert Flyer, Chris Lopitino
Frugal Travel Guy, Rick Ingersoll
The Points Guy, Brian Kelly
Maximizing Delta Awards, John Nielsen
Cliff Stratton
Mile and Point Guru, Randy Petersen
“Author” Captain Denny Flanagan

I will plan to be there, so I hope you will to.
