Monday Travel Funny: Old Luggage Tag
I was rummaging through a closet the other day, and found an old checked baggage that gave me a good chuckle:
Of particular interest, were the arrival statistics provided at the bottom.
“United. #1 in on-time arrivals. Ahead of US Airways, Delta, Continental and American.”
I found the Continental reference funny, as I’ve always been amused by outdated information. Just like when I ran across a paperback in a bookstore back in 2004, about how this Y2K thing would shut things down all over the world, and this would issue in the rapture!. Not unlike the Mayan calendar rumors…. Anyway.
But at the same time, it is sad. To think a former legacy airline has since been merged, to be mentioned only in passing. Continental today, tomorrow who knows–US Airways?
