500 FREE MILES from Le Club Accorhotels!

I’ve been asked a number of times how one can rack up so many miles.  My best answer is start with this post, but it can also be useful to get in on a miles/points giveway.

Le Club Accorhotels is currently offering 500 miles for signing up for their loyalty program, via Air Canada and Delta.

If you already have a Le Club Accor account, you are still eligible for this bonus.  You will just need either switch your earning to Aeroplan or Delta, or create an entirely new Le Club Accor account.

To take advantage of this great offer, follow these easy steps between now and August 31st:

FOR AEROPLAN MILES:
1. Sign up to become a Le Club Accorhotels member by clicking this link to join, or here for existing members.
2. In your Le Club Accorhotels membership profile, select “Aeroplan” as your preferred loyalty program.
3. Enter your Aeroplan number.

FOR DELTA MILES:
1. Sign up to become a Le Club Accorhotels member by clicking this link to join, or here for existing members.
2. In your Le Club Accorhotels membership profile, select “SkyMiles” as your preferred loyalty program.
3. Enter your SkyMiles number.

Enjoy!

Free Accor Platinum Status (Again)

Accor Hotels again has a “targeted” offer for top-tier status in their A|Club program.  The offer is intended for Citi Premier Miles World Mastercard holders in the United Arab Emirates, but registration should work for most anyone.

Accor A|Club Platinum Offer

Benefits of Accor Platinum status include:

  • 100% A|Club Points Bonus, per Stay
  • Dedicated Customer Service Line

And for stays with Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery hotels:

  • Welcome Drink and Gift
  • 4:00 PM Late Check-Out, upon request
  • Room Guarantee, If reserved at least 3 days before arrival
  • Room Upgrade, upon request–assuming availability

To be honest, I think this is a pretty good deal for both the customer and the company.  A Club members are able to enjoy basic hotel loyalty perks, including welcome amenities and upgrades at Sofitel, Pullman, and MGallery properties, which is a bonus and a heckuva lot better than nothing at all.

Also, this is beneficial to the hotel as this newfound-status is certain to draw in customers who would otherwise never stay with the Accor brand.

Last November I got in on this offer, and will be anxious (in both senses of the word) to try out my newly-minted status.  In fact, the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower Hotel is a member of Virtuoso hotels, which feature  added guaranteed amenities for booking through them, just like American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts.  For more information on Virtuoso, see Lucky’s post (specifically the hotel part), as he is currently employed for them.

So around the time when I am in town for the Chicago Seminars, expect a report on my experience as a Platinum member with Accor hotels.

Tip of the Hat to Mr. Gary.
